Eating at... The Water Witch Pub [Lancaster]

So I've decided to try out a new series on my blog where I document some places I go to eat and what I think of them. Whenever I go eat somewhere different I will be blogging it for you guys!

Yesterday I ate at the Water Witch pub in Lancaster. The location of this pub is very picturesque and cute as it is along the Lancaster canal, I imagine it would be nice to go when the weather is lovely and sit outside by the canal.
Water Witch have various offers which can be found on their website and students with a purple card can get 10% off of the food bill Mon-Fri which is nice.
As you can see the interior is also very nice and rustic and there is quite a large amount of seating, however there is no upstairs seating and it is all on just one floor. I really enjoy the aesthetic of the visible brick in this pub.

For a main course I got the ale-battered cod fillet which was amazing and came with mushy peas, chunky chips and tartare source (but of course I had to add ketchup instead). I would definitely get this again, I mean just look at the size of it, the fish was huge! My only fault with this main was that there weren't as many chips as I would have liked (although in this picture they are mostly hidden under the giant piece of cod). The main was £10.95.which in my opinion is definitely value for money

For dessert I went for the sticky toffee pudding which came with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream. (There was also a strawberry on top of the pudding but I forgot to take a picture before I ate the strawberry, haha). The dessert was £4.95 which I think is decently priced for what you get. Sticky toffee pudding is not my all time favourite dessert to have however I actually really enjoyed this one and the portion size was good too.

Overall I think this pub was very good, the service was great, the food was lovely and you got good sized portions and the prices weren't too bad either! The location makes me really want to go back in the summer when it is really sunny so I can sit outside.
I would definitely eat here again, however I also still want to try out new places in Lancaster to see if there is any better food available.
There is loads more information on their website if you want to check them out!
