First Glance at... Fenty Beauty (Full Makeup Launch)

Fenty Beauty is a new makeup line created by Rihanna. I'm very excited about this makeup launch as I do love Rihanna and can't wait to get my hands on some of the products. However I am hesitant because, similar to the KKW launch, this line is obviously going to do well because of Rihanna but I really do hope the products live up to expectations.
For the US this line is available on their website and Sephora and for the UK it can also be purchased on the website as well as at Harvey Nichols.

Price-wise this brand definitely falls under being high-end so hopefully the products live up to their pricetag. It is worth noting that this line is 100% cruelty free which I know some people will really appreciate! At a first glance I am honestly in love with all of the packaging but obviously I don't know how the images translate to real-life.

Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer - $32/£24
This primer is actually advertised as being one of Rihanna's favourite products, for this product I'm tempted to wait and see what other people see first as it might only work well on certain skintypes.

Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation - $34/£26
This foundation is available in 40 shades therefore I have high hopes that most skintones will be able to find a close match. Personally I think that it is amazing for Rihanna to release so many shades to try to appeal to most people. Its also great as its well-known that darker skintones struggle to find their shade from many makeup brands but I think Fenty Beauty won't have this problem. Also this claims to be medium-full coverage which I think is most peoples preferred coverage, buildable.

Match Stix Matte/Shimmer Skinstick - $25/£21
The matte skinstick is available in 20 shades and intended to be used as a foundation. As for the shimmer skinstick it is available in 10 shades and can be used as blush, bronze and highlight dependent on the colour of the skinstick of course. I adore the packaging of this product, it looks amazing.

Match Stix Trio (Conceal, Contour, Highlight) - $54/£46
Available in 4 shades, however there is the ability for you to customise your own 3 chosen shades for the same price. I think it is great that they have given the option of customisation as some people prefer a lighter concealer or a darker contour to others.

Killawatt Freestyle Highlight - $34/£26
This highlight is available in 6 different shades. 4 of the 6 shades seem to include 2 different higlighters, as you can see in the image above.

Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer - $18/£16
Only available in 1 shade currently. If I'm being honest I'm not that excited about this product but that's only because I prefer a matte lip, however I do think the nude shade of this 'lip luminizer' is stunning. On the website this is another product classed as 'Rihanna's favourite' so I'll trust her opinion haha.

Invisimatte Blotting Powder - $32/£24
This is another product advertised as being Rihanna's favourite which is quite interesting as it is a blotting powder and I wouldn't have expected them to advertise it as one of her favourites.

Invisimatte Blotting Paper - $16/£13
The product has a little package to store the blotting paper too so you don't lose them. Refills are available for $10/£8.

Full-Bodied Foundation Brush (110) - $34/£26
This type of foundation brush doesn't personally appeal to me but I love the look of it.
Cheek-Hugging Highlight Brush - $32/£24
I really do like the look of this highlight brush, personally I don't know if I could justify spending $32 on it though.
Precision Makeup Sponge (100) - $16/£13
Another 'Rihanna's Favourite' product, I may look into this as I still refuse to splurge on a real beauty blender.

Portable Highlighter Brush (140) - $24/£19
This brush has a better pricepoint for me but I prefer a highlight brush with a longer handle, although I do appreciate that this is meant to be portable.
Portable Contour & Concealer Brush (150) - $24/£19
For some reason I can actually imagine that this brush blends out cream products really nicely.
Portable Touch Up Brush (130) - $24/£19
I'm not sure about this brush as I know it is meant to be portable but I feel like the brush isn't big enough to easily touch up the face.

I know this post is super long but I really hope you guys liked this in-depth first glance at Fenty Beauty.

  1. I haven't puchased anything from this brand as I wasn't sure if the products would live up t it's hype. I have heard so much about the foundation and highlights that I feel like I will probably cave and pick something up from it soon haha. Thanks for this amazing first glance post x Brynn

    1. I totally agree, other than the foundation and highlight everything else just seems standard. Definitely going to try the foundation when I get the opportunity but probably give everything else a miss!
