Eating at... Countrystyle Kitchen [Lancaster]

Okay sooooo I think I discovered one of my new favourite places in Lancaster.
I didn't get any pictures of the exterior because I'm not going to lie to you, the outside was really not that great looking. Even the interior wasn't fabulous, but I'm here to review the food not the aesthetics. My dad even asked if we could go elsewhere because he didn't think it looked that great.

Countrystyle Kitchen is located within a leisure park, it's slightly hidden, and has an ice cream parlour and farm shop adjoined so you can tell everything is fresh and homemade. At the front there are also some cakes and other pieces for sale to either have there or you can take away. I got a rocky road and a piece of chocolate orange (which is huge) and they're amazing!

For my main I went for the home-baked lasagne, which came with a salad side and some garlic bread, I believe it was £10.99.
They also offer a smaller version of this dish on a children's menu for a bit less.
Can I just say this was so amazing! You could tell it was fresh and home made, the garlic bread was perfection, it was super cheesy.
I don't think the picture even does the portion size and depth justice and it was most definitely not sloppy. I really loved this lasagne!

Me and my dad also got a portion of sweet potato fries to share which were (I believe) £3.99 however we didn't manage to finish them as our mains themselves were huge. Nevermind the massive sweet potato fries and the portion being very generous.

As for dessert obviously my favourite part, again I tried to stray away from my usual choice of a brownie or something super chocolatey, I decided to go for the eton mess sundae. This sundae was £4.99  which consisted of strawberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, meringue pieces and strawberry sauce. Fair to say that this Sunday was more than delicious.

To drink I had a dandelion and burdock which was £2.50.

In the end, I would definitely go back here as I feel like it may be a slight secret as most people won't know where it is nevermind judging it from the exterior without actually giving the food a go.
